MANAGER'S DOE EVALUATION KIT

Use this kit to answer two questions:

The Manager's Question 1. "Who among my scientists and/or engineers already know how to do statistically designed experiments (DOE)? Are they implementing what they know?"

The Manager's Question 2. "How much time and money will it save if my people take DOE training and put it to use?"

STEP 1: To answer Question 1 above, make copies of the "Knowledge of DOE Self-Evaluation Form," one for each of your experimenters. (There are no restrictions on copying this form.)
STEP 2: Ask each experimenter to fill in the "Knowledge of DOE Self-Evaluation Form."
STEP 3: To answer Question 2 above, make a copy of the "Time and Cost" form for each of your staff. Ask each staff member to answer the questions with respect to the project finished most recently.
STEP 4: Send copies of the answers to The Experiment Strategies Foundation (TESF) at the address below. You will receive an assessment of your experimenters' DOE skills and a recommendation for further training, if needed. You will receive an estimate of the time and cost that could have been saved in each project by using better DOE than you already have.

SUMMARY

The answers to Question 1 above will show you who needs training and who does not.

The answers to Question 2 above will show you how much can be saved by using better DOE.
