Current Files Panel

Almost every screen in STRATEGY for Windows contains a current files panel. There are from zero to three names in this panel and they are always in the same order. If any of the file names contain a series of underscores as in the graphic below, the file name is not valid.

The top label in this example lists the short name of the design file. The first three letters of this name are always DES. The set of letters that come between DES and the period distinguish this design from all others.

The center label lists the name of MOD (model) file which specifies the formula that will be used to predict the results of the trials that you did not run. Regressions can only be run when the model file is current and valid; the model file must be regenerated (or at least reselected) after ANY change to the DES file.

The bottom label shows the name of the current COF (coefficient) file. The COF file is created when the regression is run. A new regression must be run after any change to the MOD or DES files. When the COF file is valid, the contour plots and gridsearch options are available.
