Generate an X List

Use this form to have STRATEGY for Windows generate a design for your experiment. If you already have a design, select Key In an XY List or Import Data from an ASCII File from the XY Options Form to enter your design.

Design Type ComboBox

Select a Design Type from the choices offered under the down arrow:

Hardin-Sloane, also known as Optimal Designs.

Interaction, also called the factorial

Interaction Plus Star, also called the central composite, suitable for the quadratic model

Main Effects, also called a screening design

Uniform Shell which is also suitable for the quadratic model

There is in STRATEGY for Windows a basic selection of these designs. STRATEGY for Windows can also analyze designs created by other sources.

Please call 800-732-7381 to ask Dave Doehlert for a design specific to the particular needs of your project. If one of the designs above serves your purposes then go right ahead; they are all good designs. If however you wish to do fewer runs then call. Or if you have special needs such as discrete factors, mixture components, continuous factors that are restricted to certain values and constraints on the shape of your region of interest then call Dave and The Experiment Strategies Foundation will generate the design you need with the number of runs that is within the limit of your budget.

How many factors would you like in this design? You can generate designs for 2 or more factors. If you want a one factor design and you don’t understand how to prepare it, call Dave at 800-732-7381.

OK Button

Clicking the OK button opens a screen appropriate to the design type that you have selected.
