Plots Print_Options_Form

The Plots Print Option dialog box allows you to set various options for printing a group of charts. It appears when you select Print from the Experiment Plots Form. Note that you should select all of the charts that you want to print in a single group before calling this dialog box.

If you select Save Settings, you will be presented with the standard dialog box for your specific printer. You can modify any of the settings available from this dialog box but the page orientation (Portrait or Landscape) will be used only by the 1 chart per page option. Two and three charts per page are automatically set to Portrait orientation, and four charts per page only fit in Landscape.

Canceling returns you to the Experiment Plots Form.

View to Display

The default choice for view to display is Contour Portrait because the charts will always be readable in this view. The 3D Surface Graph is more spectacular in many ways but more difficult to read accurately. Note that you may wish to open the chart to change the tilt of the cube before printing a set of charts. Use the Open Different Graph command on the File menu of the Charting Form to return to the Experiment Plots Form; the connection between the settings on these two forms is broken when you return to the Main Menu.

Scale of Values

The default for Scale of Values in Design File Units. This choice shows the units of the all of the factors (the factors on the axes plus the remaining factors) in the same units that they were specified in the Design File. Choosing Minus One Plus One converts all of these values to their -1/+1 equivalents.

Chart Colors

Chart Colors allow you to scale a set a charts to a common scale. This results in individual charts that are less detailed, but each color will then mean the same thing on each chart.

Charts Per Page

You can print up to four charts per page. Select all of the charts that you want to print before calling this dialog box. This panel is only enabled if you have more than one chart selected, and you can only print as many charts per page as there are charts selected. That is, you cannot pint four charts per page if only three charts are selected.

Display Details

You may show or hide details on the printout. A check in the checkbox (the default) indicates that the particular detail will show on the print out.

Tip: If you want to simply view your charts with any of these setting in place (like Common Colors), select Save Settings and Cancel when the Printer dialog box appeas.
