Regression Problems

If a regression fails, it is usually because either the design file is bad or because the regression engine was unable to fit the model to the design.

If the design file is bad, STRATEGY for Windows for Windows may fail precipitously. If this happens, reload STRATEGY, edit, validate, and save the design file. Then rebuild the model file and run the regression again.

If the model does not fit, you will usually see a partial regression analysis. Read the final page of the analysis very carefully. It usually contains not only the reason for the failure; it usually contains specific suggestions on how to modify the model to get the regression to run.
