STRATEGY Spreadsheet Form
The main spreadsheet form in STRATEGY for Windows is your interactive
connection to the XY List. Use it to input a new design, add responses, add or delete
columns or rows, or change entries.
Enter a numeric value in each cell. If a response value is missing, enter a
period (decimal point) in that cell. There must not not be any missing values
in any factor columns. Press the TAB key or the Enter key to move to the next
cell. Note that you can change the action of the enter key by pressing Ctrl-K.
Editing Functions
Column Transformations are available as well as the ordinary editing
functions. The Edit menu contains a full range of the necessary editing functions.
Validate Button
If you click the Validate Button, STRATEGY for Windows will check the
spreadsheet to make sure that it is complete enough so that it will not cause the
regression to bomb. This is highly recommended but do not press this button until
you have entered all of your data.
Save Button
The Save Button saves the current file. If the file has not been saved
before, you will be offered a common dialog box to name the file. It is not
necessary to type in the extension. If you want to save the file under another name,
us the Save As command from the File Menu.
Close Button
The Close Button closes this form WITHOUT saving your changes. You must save
your design file before closing this form.
