X,Y List
Your X,Y List is your DES (design) file and contains the settings of your
factors and the values of your responses for each run. It is the set of data
from which predictions of performance will be made for many factor settings which
you have not run.
Although the file is stored as a single matrix, there are really two distinct
parts to this file. The first is the experiment design consisting of the run
order for the experiments trials and the settings for each factor for each
trial. This part of the file is prepared before the experiments are run, and it is
often referred to as simply the X List..
The second part is simply the recorded measurements of the responses. After
you have filled in all of the response data, the next step is to select the
model for which the experiment design was planned.
