STRATEGY for Windows is software for designing and analyzing experiments to find the answer to industrial questions.
To properly use STRATEGY for Windows, you must use either Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0. If you want a version of STRATEGY that will run under DOS (or Windows 3.1), contact The Experiment Strategies Foundation.
There is a library of designs within STRATEGY for Windows that should meet most of your needs. Note that SFW can handle larger or more complex problems; these can be obtained from Math Options
STRATEGY for Windows can analyze any well-designed experiment. STRATEGY is designed for one purpose: to find the sweet spot (best answer) for the least cost.
Our GridSearch utility will find your sweet spot quickly and reliably whether you have a simple process with only two factors or if you have a complex process with dozens of process factors and several mixtures. You'll run out of budget long before you even begin to approach the number of factors and responses that can be simultaneously evaluated.
Note that STRATEGY for Windows contains several special features explicitly added to handle the more complex Hardin-Sloane (Optimal -I) designs that are created with Gosset. Most custom designs from The Experiment Strategies Foundation fall into this category.
Graphics were once the heart of the analysis capability. Although tools like GridSearch make graphics obsolete for finding the sweet spot, contour plots are still extremely effective in communicating your answer to management and customers. Used with GridSearch constraints, STRATEGY for Windows can create contour plots that can account for any number of different factors.
In addition to the color contour plots and cubic landscapes that were in the previous versions of STRATEGY, STRATEGY for Windows includes a fully rotatable 3D surface graph. These graphics may all be printed, copied to other applications or saved to disk for inclusion in presentations.

STRATEGY for Windows will run under Windows 95 with 8 MB or RAM installed. 12 MB are required for Windows NT 4.0. STRATEGY for Windows will run much faster with more memory installed. With 16 MB, you should get optimum performance if you have no other applications active, but the more applications that you wish to run simultaneously, the more memory you should have.
STRATEGY for Windows requires about 7 MB of disk space for installation. The data files are small but if you start to save graphics files, you will consume disk space rapidly.
In general, it is a good idea to maintain at least twenty MB of free disk space at all times.
STRATEGY for Windows requires a VGA or SVGA monitor.
